The two of us together
Can take on any job
We both like things pristine and clean
But our baby is a slob
Suddenly we find the house
Is completely upside down
Toys and muslins everywhere
Nappies fifty shades of brown
Dirty clothes in every room
We live inside a laundry maze
With yet another outfit change
We’re washing ten times more these days
Now we’ve started weaning
I thought there was mess before
How on Earth have you got food
On the ceiling, walls and floor
Then you go down to nap
And we have to spend that time
Scrubbing on our hands and knees
As true partners in grime
